Teenagers and Contact lenses
Posted on Sun 15th February 2009
Todays teenagers are the most affluent generation of young people
to date. Almost one third of teens work while
going to school and participating in other teenage activities. Teenagers are particularly receptive to the idea of wearing contact lenses. Over 8 in 10 vision-corrected
teenagers either wear contact lenses or are interested in
doing so. This distinguishes teenagers as the largest group
in potential contact lens wearers. Teenager self image issues
motivate them to be successful in shedding their glasses.
Teenagers are more open to suggestions and are more willing to try new things than
their older counterparts. The simple daily
disposable contact lenses are ideally suited for the teenage lifestyle.
