Eye Care - Contactlens Cleaning

 

Below are some instructions on how to clean and store your contact lenses.
 

Step 1:

Remember, hygiene in the most important part of your contact lens care. You can easily transmit germs from your fingers onto the lens, and eventually into your eyes. 

Step 2:

Wash and dry your hands

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. Make sure all the soap is rinsed off. Use a Lint free towel to dry your hands, as this will prevents any dust particles sticking to your fingers.
 

Step 3:

Remove your Right contact lens from your eye. Remember to always do the right eye first so that you do not get the lens mixed up with the Left eye.
 

Step 4:

Rubbing your lens

Put the lens into the palm of your hand and pour a few drops of cleaning solution onto it. Gently rub the lens onto the palm of your hand with your finger for about thirty seconds. This will loosen any build-up of protein or dirt on the lens.
 

Step 5:

Rinse

Then rinse the lens with some Rinsing solution. This will rinse off any debris on the lens surface.
 

Step 6:

Storage of the lenses

Carefully place the lens into the lens case, remembering to put it into the correct compartment for the right and left eye. Fill the compartment with storage solution up to the correct line and close the lid.
 

Step 7:

Repeat for the Left eye

Now repeat this procedure for your Left contact lens. Your contact lenses can now be safely stored away until you are ready to use them again.

Notes:

Make sure that you change your contact lens case each month.
