1. What is a contact lens prescription?
It is different from a sight test prescription. A contact lens prescription details the brand of lenses you have been fitted, the fitting and the strength of your lenses. It will be signed and dated by your optician to indicate when you were fitted for lenses and the length of time your prescription is valid for.
Please visit your own optician to obtain a valid contact lens prescription. To make it easier, you can print the form below and ask your optician to complete.

2. Can't I just send my sight test prescription?
No, your contact lens prescription is different to that provided for glasses.
3. Can I send you a photocopy, fax or scanned email of my prescription?
Yes you can - You can scan the prescription and e-mail it to: sales@myContactlenses.co.uk or fax them to: 0117 3305801. We will then validate this with your optician.
4. What if I can't get my contact lens prescription from my optician?
As long as your contact lens fitting or check-up is complete, your optician is legally obliged to provide you with an updated contact lens prescription.
5. How do I know that the lenses I receive will be the same as my prescription?
We can only supply the contact lenses detailed on your prescription. We always verify your prescription with your optician, before we despatch your lenses.
6. How can I re-new my contact lens prescription?
To re-new your prescription, simply book an appointment with your local optician for a contact lens check-up. This will check the health of your eyes and ensure that your lens type and prescription are still suitable. Most contact lens wearers are recommended to have a check-up at least every 12 months.
7. How can I re-order if I have a new prescription?
Simply log in using your password and place your order as usual. Once you have placed your order, you will then need to send your new prescription to us so we can validate your order. Once this is done, this will be held on the system, making it easy to re-order your contact lenses in the future.
